East Indian Mutton Curry

Ingredients

  • 1 kg mutton, cut into small pieces
  • 3 tbsp East Indian Bottle Masala
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Chopped coriander leaves, for garnish

Method

  • In a large pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the choppedonionsand sauté until they are golden brown.
  • Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and sauté for another minute
  • Add the East Indian Bottle Masala and chopped tomatoes and salt.
  • Add the mutton pieces to the pan and stir well to coat themwith the masala.
  • Add enough water to cover the meat, reduce the heat to medium-low, andcover the pan.
  • Check the meat for tenderness after an hour. Once the meat is cooked, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed riceor Indian bread.
